The measurement of laser far-field facula distribution is an effective way to study the effect of high power laser transmission in atmosphere,and it is also an important means to evaluate the operational capability of high power laser system in a long distance. A new method based on the combination of imaging and array detection is proposed in this paper to measure the far-field spot spatial and temporal distribution of the high power laser. The system can be used to measure the far-field spot distribution of the laser with wavelength of (1064±10)nm and power density dynamic range of 2~5000 W/cm2.
