Abstract:The SmCrO3 powders were prepared by high temperature solid phase method,and its stealth effects are evaluated by some parameters,such as spectral reflectance,color coordinates and the ratio of laser cross section.The result shows that at 1400 ℃,the samples with a thickness of 0.2 mm show a strong absorption peak at 1.06 μm and 1.55 μm,and the absorption rates are 54% and 53% respectively.The light green samples have a small range of color coordinate(0.3588±0.0007,0.3792±0.0081).The ratio of laser cross section remains above 1.8,and with the increase of calcination temperature,the ratio increases constantly.That is to say,the ability of absorbing laser increases.Therefore,with the help of other pigments,SmCrO3 powder can be a good camouflage material for both visible and near infrared bands.
