Using a conventional fusion splicer,the collapse property of the hollow core photonic crystal fiber is investigated.With the splicer,the central hollow-core and the holes in the cladding region are selectively infiltrated.The basic parameters,including effective refractive index,effective area of mode field and numerical aperture of the hollow fiber before and after liquid filling are simulated and analyzed by finite element method.The simulation results show that the nonlinearity of hollow fiber increases after selective liquid filling in the central hole.The optimum parameters of collapse parameters are obtained by experiments:the distance between the end face of the fiber and the discharge center is 50 μm,the discharge time is 800 ms,and the discharge intensity is 15.5 mA.
