Spectrum characteristics including spontaneous emission , amplified spontaneous emission and laser emission of homemade Yb2fiber double cladding fiber were studied experimentally in detail pumped by internal diode laser.Reasons of mode-competition in F2P cavity were analyzed. Results show the homemade Yb2fiber is feasible to make a fiber laser with better understanding to the formation of laser.
