Op ticalwave propagation in photonic crystalwaveguide made of line defects is studied by the finite-difference time-domain method. The photonic crystalwaveguide with different line defects can guide op ticalwave with different frequencies. The op ticalwave with lower frequency easily propagates through straight waveguide, but can not propagates through bend waveguide, and the bend waveguide has narrow passing band. The results present a theoretical base for processing photonic device.
