The uniformity of optical glass is an important index of its performance, so it′s significant to exactly measure in applications. Holographic interferometry is a nondestructive testing method with high precision. The application on the uniformity test of optical glass by laser holography with quadratic! exposure method is described. Some theoretic ratiocination and experiment were conducted. Its feasibility was theoretically analyzed and validated experimentally. The experimental results and the theory were tallied well. Furthermore, this method can be used for the common glass, and the uniformity of glass was analyzed qualitatively. This testing method is nondestructive measurement with high precision, and the holograph can be reconstructed in white light.
