The experimental results of a wideband Er3 + /Yb3 + co-doped superfluorescent fiber source based on double-backward single pumping configuration have been reported. By using 980 nm pump source and optimizing the pump power as well as fiber length, an output of 30. 8 mW, 28% pump slope efficiency and 35 nm 3 dB bandwidth has been achieved at 1550 nm band with only 1m Er3 + /Yb3 + co2doped fiber.
