Median filter and its hardware realization are discussed in this paper as a non2linear image processing method used in imaging fuze. With the calculation and the experiments we proved that median filter has operated well in noise suppression of scanning images and overwhelming failure of detecting element . In this paper , a logic strobing model has been proposed to realize the median filter with small number of elements in hardware. Unlike the usual sorting network of median filter realization ,the logic strobing model has better parallelism and can effectively reduce the cost of hardware resource. When realized in FPGA ,it gets the good effect.
