The operational status of laser guided weapons that face the weaponry platforms has been investigated. A need of the different features of laserwarner laid on the weaponry p latforms are pointed out, and on the view-point of sensitivity, dynamic range, p rocessing time ( detection to declaration) and threat data library , a design considerations on laserwarner are analysed and reviewed. At the end, a princip les, an application and an effectiveness of laser guided weapons countermeasures, such as smoke screen, laser decoy and laser blinding, are briefly described.
