The experimental studies on seven kinds of wrappers by using terahertz technology are reported, and the transmission characteristic of terahertz radiation to wrappers by analyzing absorp tion coefficient and refractive index of the materials are discussed. The results show that terahertz radiation has strong penetrability to most ofwrappers, and the technology can become an effective means in the field of security inspection.
