Laser is not only one kind of initiative remote sensing technology, it is also a tool to obtain the spatial and physical character of the earth surface. It has its usage which can never be rep laced by the passivencss remote sensing technology. These days, with the rapid development of the technology, laser technology is being used in the remote sensingmuch more than before. The paper will introduce the application and the trend of using laser technology in space satellite platform and airborne platform.
