Testing of infrared focal panel array is the basis of IRFPA evaluation and infrared image processing. A test system formeasuring characteristic parameters of IRFPA is established based on virtual instrumental technology. Both the hardware and software of the test system are developed. The response levels of IRFPA pixels are acquired by the system. The main characteristic parameters of IRFPA are calculated based on the definition and measuring data. The performance of IRFPA are evaluated by the system. Through statistic analysis, the location and quantities of non-effective pixels can be identified accurately. Also the nouniformity correction coefficient of all pixels can be worked out. Vivid infrared images have been achieved through non-effective pixels compensation and nouniformity correction based on the testing and statistic analysis results.
