An improved infared image segmentation algorithm is proposed in view of the features of infared image.The algorithm, adopting the technique of fuzzy entropy, genetic algorithm morphology and etc, improves the traditional segmentation algorithm in the algorithm flow. The simulation results shows that the proposed algorithm is fast and reliable for infared image segmetation. And the algorithm, having good robust and adaptive, could give a ideal segmentation result aiming at different and complicated ground background, and conquer the the oversegmentation and lesssegmentation problems of the traditional segmentation algorithms.
