To evaluate the infrared attenuation properties of a novel foams obscuring agent,a thermal imager and an FTIR spectrograph were applied to test the infrared extinction coefficient (EC) of a novel foams obscuring agent (FOA).The methods of infrared thermography and spectrogrum are presented,and the results obtained based on them and the methods themselves are been compared.It indicates that two close EC results get truly by the two methods.So it figures out that the methods would be applied conveniently to test the EC of FOA with a high precision,and should be assisted and validated each other.
