Based on analysis of the main failure modes of Oxford type Stirling cooler, an accelerated lifetime evaluation technique of high temperature is developed. For a typical cooler, a series of dynamics response tests under different temperature are developed, and suitable temperature for accelerated lifetime test is gained. After 1200 hours test, the cooler presents certain degradations which is caused by contamination of regenerator.
