The propagation theory and properties of the self-similar parabolic pulse in a dispersion-decreasing optical fiber with normal group-velocity dispersion are introduced. The generation of self-similar parabolic pulse under different gain coefficient g0,different full width at half maximum and different incident pulse are investigated.The numerical simulations show that bigger g0 and T0 are beneficial to generate self-similar parabolic pulse with high linearly chirp and wide frequency range.
