The purpose of this paper is to analyze the influence of photonic crystal band-gap(PBG) structure to the patch antenna,and the method based on the finite difference time domain(FDTD) was used.We compared two simulated antennas,one of which is based on PBG structure.We found that its gain were improved by adding the PBG structure.
