This paper introduced and studies the electromagnetic metamaterials,and designed a kind of electromagnetic metamaterials operating in the 360GHz band.Detailed study shows that it can be used to fabricate a modulator at 360GHz.The possibility of utilizing this technology to construct high speed wireless communication system is also included and this method can also be used in other frequency bands especially at THz frequency range.
