Estimating the global movement of camera is one of the key technology of automatic target recognition (ATR).An improved method is presented for estimating the global movement of camera in this paper.The model of global movement of camera was given first,then several improvements were made on the traditional model matching method,such as model updating and matching rules.The simulation result shows that this approach is available for solving the problem of global movement estimation of camera with less resource expending.
