This article introduces the realization method that the laser rangefinder is designed using of ALTERA′s FPGA chip(EP1C3T144I7) and its configuration chip(EPCS1SI8).Not only the hardware system is illustrated,but also the software architecture is detailed.At last the test datas of the field experiment are also listed.Test datas show that the system achieve good results.The system has a small size,low power consumption,the stable work,superior performance and the strong ability of upgrading,and it can also program on line.
