At present,there are many methods to compute the infrared radiation signatures of the exhausted plume.The complexity of different infrared radiation signatures for flying machines is different,but the basic steps and the methodlogy are similar.In this paper,the basic steps of infrared radiation signatures calculation of exhaust plume are summarized.We also compare and analyze the main methods of each step and offer proper suggestions.We put emphasis on taking into account the influence of particles on the plume radiation of liquid fuel flying machines.Focus is also put on the research on three solution of the radiation transmission equation.We point out the problems in the present method of computing the infrared radiation and offer the improving method.
