Infrared target simulator based on digital-mirror device(DMD)modulates the incident infrared radiation by using the DMD reflection.It simulates the target and background infrared images in the laboratory in order to test and evaluate the performance of the infrared system.The paper introduces the overall structure of the infrared target simulator,the operation principle of DMD and the design of the optical splitting system.In order to solve the overlap problem between the illumination system and the projection system,the paper designs a splitter prism which seperate the DMD illumination beam from the projection beam reflected by the DMD.Using the ZEMAX,the scheme is simulated and optimized.The results show that the performance of the system conforms to the requirements.
