Based on brief review and comparison between the traditional and the modern auto-focus methods,the theory and the key points of the auto-focus method based on image processing are put forward.It is figured out that the image-clarity evaluation and searching algorithm are key technologies in the study of auto-focus method based on image processing.And the approaches of these aspects are described in detail.
