Experimental research on reflection characteristic of graphite under infrared continuous-wave (CW)laser irradiation is carried out.An experimental measurement system is set up with integrating sphere.The regularity of temperature-dependent reflection characteristic of graphite is presented by experiments,and the mechanism applying to the variation of reflection is also studied.Investigation results show that the reflectance of graphite decreases remarkably while the graphite reaches a temperature about 400℃ under 1.064 μm CW laser irradiation,and finally maintains a relatively steady level.The compound reflection surface of graphite turns into diffuse reflection surface after laser irradiation.It mainly results from decomposition of organic matter and ablation of micro-powder in graphite.
