The composition and principle of a coherent Doppler wind LIDAR are presented,especially the signal processing system. The method of Doppler signal processing is introduced; Doppler echo signal is simulated and studied. The signal processing system of the coherent Doppler wind LIDAR is designed by using commercial data acquisition card and LABVIEW software. The measurement of radial velocity is obtained through a special platform. The analog signal of Doppler echo is designed,which is used to test the signal processing system. The results indicate that the accuracy of velocity measurement is up to 0.8m/s.
