Aiming at low definition and blurred edges of the fusion image that obtained by existing image fusion algorithm,an infrared and visible image fusion algorithm based on combined image characteristics ratio is put out. The image is decomposed by wavelet transform,and the valid signal in the low frequency component is retained through calculating the low-frequency component of the spatial frequency ratio and the energy ratio. And in the high-frequency components,edge ratio is calculated by using the edge detection algorithm. At last,the edge of the image signal is retained. Experimental results show that this algorithm can get the clearer fusion image than other algorithms.
