As laser fuze is vulnerably interfered by scattering and absorption of cloud and mist,the influence of cloud and mist on polarization characteristics of laser backscattering is studied.The influence of cloud and mist on laser backscattering was simulated by Monte Carlo method under coaxial narrow-field mode.The results show that average degree of polarization of cloud and mist backscattering is 0.08~0.25 under different particle radius and visibility,and it is obviously different to man-made metal targets,so the anti cloud and mist interference ability of laser detection system can be improved by setting a proper threshold.
