A two-dimensional axial symmetry physical model is built for laser ablation of a metal target under tangential airflow.Based on the parametric design language of the finite element software ANSYS and using the method of killing elements,the temperature field distribution and the ablation of the target are calculated,and the ablation dimension is described quantitatively.The results show that when the energy distribution of the laser is Gaussian distribution,the temperature rise of the target center becomes higher,the ablation becomes easier,and the burn-through time becomes shorter.The two-dimensional model in this paper could extend to the three-dimensional situation.
