The high efficient coupling between the pumping and the oscillating beam is one of the effective ways for improving the pump conversion efficiency and beam quality.In this paper,the pumping coupling method of a fiber-coupled laser diode end-pumped Nd3+∶YAG laser is studied.To obtain Gaussian beam,high order mode spot distribution of output laser was observed by CCD under the condition of off-axis,and then the coupling effect of the pumping and the oscillating beam was judged,the approximate Gaussian beam was obtained by adjusting the spatial position of pumping beam.This method is simple and useful,and has a reference for improving beam quality through adjusting the parameters of pump light.
