A new algorithm model for target location is proposed to increase the detecting capability of dual distributed aperture infrared system(DAIRS)on urban air defense system,and a location error formula was derived.In the process of error analysis,the system errors introduced by various causes,such as the wrong calibration of the infrared warning units,were also taken into account except for the measurement errors of the projection point.Then the continuity of location error was analyzed when the target was imaged in different sensors,which shows that the target location precision can be analyzed only using a pair of sensors when ignoring the limit of the field of view.Finally,simulation and analysis of influence factors were made.The results show that the decrease of sensors has small impact on the location accuracy,which can reduce system cost,and when the distance between two DAIRS increase by 1 / 3,the location error can reduce by half.
