Because of the uncertain effect of low energy laser weapons on human eye,the simplified model in accordance with human eyes parameters in our country and the layered model of retinal thermal interaction were established. Considering the external environment and human instinctive dodge factors under laser irradiation,the temperature changes of the fundus were solved by using the finite element method in MATLAB under the different laser irradiations. The threshold value of laser power density was determined based on the thermal damage model of biological tissues when the eyes are irradiated by laser. The laser irradiation experiments for purple blue and gray rabbit eyes were carried out. The results show that the experimental results are consistent with the numerical results.
