Fiber with tilted end includes a flat end and a tilted end. When the light enters the fiber from the flat end,light will not output from the tilted end if the tilt angle is greater than a certain value,but the light will output from fiber surface after reflecting at the tilted end. However,emitted facula will be seriously distorted in this way,so the configuration of adding a hollow glass tube in the part of the tilted end is proposed. Simulation and analysis were carried out by using ray tracing of LightTools. The simulation results show that the transmission efficiency of this fiber can exceed 75% and emitted facula distribution is ideal when the tilt angles are from 48° to 54°. Finally,the fibers with the tilt angles of 45° and 53° are manufactured,and the transmission efficiency and emitted facula distribution under the configurations of fiber with tilted end and the one with a hollow glass tube are verified through the experiments,respectively.
