Abstract:To study the effects of external load on laser bending, three numerical simulation cases were created:laser bending without external load, laser bending with external load and laser bending after external load.Sequentially coupled thermal stress analysis was used to simulate the process of laser bending. The transient temperature field was obtained by heat transfer analysis, and it was imported into three simulation cases and the quasi-static analysis of displacement field was carried out.The results show that the bending moment which is toward the laser beam can increase the bent angle of the plate, and the bend angle was improved more significantly under the case of laser bending after external load. The reverse bending of the plate can be caused by the bending moment which is opposite to the laser beam, and the edge effect of displacement field at the end position of laser beam can be produced.
