Abstract:YCF101 (Fe-based alloy) coating is an ideal coating for machine parts remanufacturing due to its good wear and corrosion resistance, and suitable hardness. In order to prepare high surface quality coatings, the effects of different remelting parameters on the quality of YCF101 coatings were studied. The surface morphology, microstructure and cross section quality of the coating were analyzed by laser scanning confocal microscope (LEXT OLS4100).The results show that laser remelting can effectively improve the surface quality of the coating.Under the same remelting parameters, the best remelting mode is the remelting trajectory and the cladding trajectory are 45 degree;when the remelting power is 200 W,the remelting scan speed is 9 mm/s,and the remelting distance is 1 mm,the coating quality is the best. With the increase of remelting power, the coating crack is increased. In addition, after remelting, the fine grains inside the molten pool are replaced by columnar grains, and the grains in cross-sections are uniform, and the microstructure of the coating surface is refined.
