Abstract:In order to enhance the detailed information of the infrared image,improve the visual effect of the image,and combine the visual characteristics with the infrared image feature,an image enhancement method combining visual characteristics is proposed.Firstly,the image is processed by Weber′s law,and the image is segmented by using the characteristics of the background intensity and the intensity gradient in the logarithmic domain.Then,the segmented image is enhanced separately,the improved adaptive histogram equalization algorithm is used in the over dark and over bright regions,and the multiscale Retinex algorithm is used in the Weber region.Finally,the three regions construct an image that outputs an infrared image without standing detail and moderate brightness.The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm enhances the image details,shortens the running time,effectively eliminates the "halo" phenomenon,improves the visual effect of the image,and has a good application prospect.
