The ring pumping method through the side of the laser diode is one of the most effective means to obtain high power and high beam quality 1.3 μm laser.In this paper,the symmetrical flat cavity structure with double pump cavity connected in series and the means to optimize the compensation of the thermal effect of the laser rod are used to achieve the purpose of reducing the thermal effect and improving the beam quality and improving the laser power.The laser output with average power of 140 W,beam divergence angle of 10 mrad,power instability of 2 %,repetition frequency of 10 kHz,and pulse width of 250 ns is realized,which lays a foundation for the expansion of applications in related fields.
