This paper briefly introduce the mechanism of the fast steering mirror,and find a way for the improvement through structural layout optimization.A transfer function of servo mechanism for the optimized design is derived,and a control loop is programmed with this derived transfer function.Furthermore,the design guideline of the network correction is put forward,and the annoying low frequency oscillation is restrained by adding a biquadratic filter in the control loop.The difficulty of control system design is reduced with solving the networks in series in the control loop.A simulation is established to verify the feasibility.On the basis of theoretical analysis,an experimental platform is built to test the performance and the design parameters of this fast steering mirror,with different excitation signals.Finally the theoretical model is verified workable.
