In the new era,the army′s air defense mission is facing great challenges from new long-range unmanned weapons.The traditional long-range,medium and short-range air defense weapon systems need to be reformed and added with new air defense forces.The development and application of tactical laser weapons are born from this.In this paper,the main characteristics of tactical laser weapons are presented,the combat areas and task lists are studied,the application and deployment forms of tactical laser weapons in land battlefield are analyzed,and the actual requirements and development of tactical laser weapons are summarized.
