Abstract:The development history,basic theory,advantages over MCT materials and basic structure of infrared detection type-II superlattice materials are summarized in the paper.Through the design 6.1 superlattice materials system of appropriate layer thickness and matching interface stress between layers can build flexible reasonable band structure,open the possibility of designing new material structure that conform to the requirements of the device performance(such as a variety of homojunction p-i-n structure,double heterojunction DH,heterojunction W,M,N,BIRD,CBIRD,p-π-M-N,pBiBn,nBn,XBp,pMp,etc),also can integrate multilayer absorption layer stack on one focal plane array(FPA)pixel to realize integrated multicolor/multiband detection.T2SL detector can meet the requirements of the third-generation infrared detector with large array,high operating temperature,high performance,multiband/multicolor detection,especially can replace MCT in the long wave infrared(LWIR),the very long wave infrared(VLWIR)and the two-color/multi-band detection.
