单谐振腔光纤激光器输出特性优化实验研究

    摘要:

    基于单谐振腔结构,搭建了千瓦级掺镱全光纤激光器,实验研究了增益光纤长度、盘绕半径、制冷温度几种不同参数对输出激光特性的影响。经过参数优化,最终选用镱纤长度16m,盘绕半径6cm,制冷温度25℃,在泵浦功率为1348.3W时,实现了1135W的连续激光输出。激光中心波长1080nm,光-光转换效率84.2,斜率效率87.7,光束质量M2为1.2,实现了准单模输出。该激光器连续工作72 h,其功率不稳定性为1.38。该实验研究对高功率光纤激光器的研究具有一定的指导意义。

    Abstract:

    A kW-class ytterbium-doped all-fiber laser is built based on the single cavity structure.The effects of several different parameters of gain fiber length,coiling radius and cooling temperature on the output laser characteristics are studied experimentally.After parameters optimization,the final selection of ytterbium fiber length is 16 m,the coiling radius is 6cm,and the cooling temperature is 25℃,and 1135 W continuous laser output is realized when the pump power is 1348.3 W.The center wavelength of the laser is 1080 nm,the light-to-light conversion efficiency is 84.2%,and the slope efficiency is 87.7%,the beam quality M2 is 1.2,achieving a quasi-single-mode output.And the laser has a power instability of 1.4% in 72 h continuously work.This experimental study has certain guiding significance for the research of high power fiber lasers.
