The Doppler frequency produced by moving target is very large in laser radar. The pulse compression performance is reduced and the range velocity coupling problem is severe by the Doppler frequency, which seriously affects detection performance and ranging precision. In order to solve this problem,a Doppler compensation method is proposed in this paper. The method adopts double carrier frequency conjugated processing to solve the velocity ambiguity. Then by using the unambiguous velocity to compensate the raw data, the range velocity coupling and pulse compression problems are simultaneously solved. The target detection performance and ranging precision are improved. The target echo signal is simulated and experimented. The experimental results indicate that the method is effective.
