Infrared thermal imaging technology is often used in nondestructive testing of materials recently years.Aiming at the problem of surface damage detection of aviation carbon fiber reinforced composites (CFRPs),a damage detection idea based on continuous pulse laser line moving scanning load bearing structure CFRP is proposed in this paper, which is equipped with an infrared thermal wave experimental device of laser line scanning. The experimental results show the sensitivity of line laser thermal imaging to tensile fracture damage of various sizes, depths and directions, and the damage is judged by the combination of infrared thermal spectrum and surface temperature curve.Image sequence analysis and temperature response can provide complementary results. This method can detect the damage of a few tenths of a millimeter near the surface. In addition, the line scanning method greatly shortens the detection time.
