With the rapid development of lidar technology,the performance indicators of lidar including range,resolution,and measurement accuracy are continuously improved.In order to enhance the measurement accuracy and distance resolution,the transmitted signal is required to have a large bandwidth.Broadband chirp signal is helpful to improve the range resolution of lidar.In this paper,aiming at the problem of low accuracy of lidar ranging in remote ranging,several methods for generating broadband chirp signals are analyzed and compared firstly.Then,a broadband chirp signal implementation method for remote ranging application scenarios is proposed and designed.The feasibility of the experimental implementation is demonstrated through the Matlab simulation experiments.Finally,a broadband chirp signal with a bandwidth of 150 MHz and a range resolution of 1m is generated by the implementation on FPGA.
