The paper is a review of researches on FO CO laser,the main attention being paid to the quite new experimental results jointly obtained by scientific team of the Lebedev Physics Institute (Russia),Troitsk Institute for Innovation and Fusion Research (TRINITI) (Russia) and Air Force Research Lab (USA).We also point out the large gap between China and developed countries and introduce a number of key technical requirements.
